Location

The De Beers Canada Snap Lake Diamond Mine site is the host site for the THEMIS GBO. The GBO has been deployed here since the Fall of 2008

Infrastructure

We are located near to the Diffuser Pipe where the water from the Mine complex is returned to Snap Lake after being processsed and cleaned. There is a Sea Container which provides power to the heat trace system of the diffuser pipe. We are taking advantage of the 120V power available at this location to power our equipment.

Installation

The THEMIS installation has a standard complement of equipment. The GBO is driven by the ASI and OSE and is supported by the Iridium, GPS and Sat Dish antennas. Top

Custodian & Contacts

Our custodians at the mine site are the IT department.

The GBO is equipeed with a Ka-band Satellite Dish and an Iridium Modem
